Houston Mayor Speaks at SER Press Conference

Forney joined Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner, SER Executive Director Nory Angel, and other community members at the SER-Jobs for Progress Workforce Opportunity Center, Forney’s active job site. Construction of the center is underway and will double SER’s capacity to provide client services, education, and training. Forney is proud to be part of this important community project and of the impact it will have on our city.  Mayor Turner said of the effort:  “This is not just a building, it is a place where dreams will be realized, hard work will be recognized, and the whole city of Houston will benefit.”

Forney Selected as Hermann Park Conservancy’s General Contractor

Built in 1933, Hermann Park’s Lott Hall clubhouse will undergo a renovation to improve and preserve its unique history. As General Contractor, Forney is excited to serve Hermann Park Conservancy, a nonprofit citizens’ organization dedicated to the stewardship and improvement of Houston’s historic Hermann Park.

Chinquapin Prep School Opens New Building

Forney served as General Contractor for Chinquapin Preparatory School’s first Girls’ Dormitory, a facility that will enable equal educational opportunities for both male and female students. “Girls haven’t boarded here historically for the past 47 years,” said Marilu Garza, director of development for Chinquapin Prep. “Now, they’re on an even playing field.” Check out Houston Business Journal’s article, which details how this facility will impact the students at Chinquapin.

Children’s Park Opens at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands

Thanks to the generosity of John and Paige Wolf, and in honor of their late son, Jack, construction of the new children’s park at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands is now complete. This family’s vision to improve the patient care experience launched a passion-project for our client and will continue to make an impact for generations to come.

River Oaks Country Club – Ribbon Cutting

Forney celebrated the Ribbon Cutting for River Oaks Country Club alongside club members, staff and architect, Gensler. The project started as a $2 million expansion of a Halfway House and Pro Shop, but turned into a $12 million project including multiple clubhouse and golf course renovations.
